︎I am a designer and murder mystery host.
Surprisingly, I find that the two are related. As a designer, I have to define the problem and solve it. As a host, I need to guide players to solve problems. I act as the super glue between participants, helping them work as a team even if they are strangers. Observation of human nature is important as I need to constantly pull players back onto the right track. Knowing the needs of consumers is also the key to communication design, and leads to effective solutions. I believe good design should not be a mystery.
